Course Description:

As the sun sets, slip into your dive gear, take a deep breath and backroll into a whole new world of diving. Although you’ve seen the reef many times before, the day creatures retire for the evening and you can watch the nocturnal life under the glow of your dive light.

While scuba diving at night, you are more focused on what you can see inyour light’s beam. Learn dive planning, additional equipment requirements and navigation in the dark. We also teach buoyancy control with less visual reference, and methods for remaining in your buddy team.

This course is often combined with the Peak Performance Buoyancy and Nitrox specialities which allow divers to explore more challenging divesites. Throughout the three night dives you will practice:

  • Light handling and communication techniques.
  • Entering, exiting and navigating in the dark.
  • Identifying how plants and animals differ or change behavior at night time.
