Cenote Kukulkan is inside a park called "Chac Mool" a short distance from Puerto Aventuras. Chac Mool Park has more than 9 km of mapped cave, and offers showers, changing rooms, bathrooms, a restaurant and tables to prepare the equipment. Kukulkan is accessed through a beautiful pond populated by freshwater turtles and at about 10 meters you come across the halocline area, where salt water and fresh water meet and which creates a particular visual effect. The dive takes place in the enormous cave that surrounds the cenote. With its magnificent light effects this site is one of the most used to promote cenote diving in the Mayan Riviera. The use of the camera is prohibited, you can request the paid service of the photographer of the Chac Mool park.
The dive begins a short distance from the parking lot of the Little Brother cenote. Passing through a short tunnel, you reach Chac Mool among splendid plays of light and halocline. With its large rooms and its maximum depth of 12 meters this site is perfect for a first experience of diving in a cenote. There is also an air dome created by the collapse of the ceiling where you can emerge to admire the small stalactites that grow from the ceiling. This cave offers the possibility for more experienced divers to admire the largest underwater stalactite in the world "El Monstro".
